Meet our Acting Commissioner
Experienced public sector senior executive Nicolle Kelly has been appointed Acting Commissioner while a recruitment process is undertaken to find our next Commissioner.
Ms Kelly is an experienced public sector executive who is highly credentialled in the areas of customer service and small and family businesses, particularly within start-ups in the technology sector. Her background in strategy, governance and engagement will ensure effective leadership of the QSBC through this transition period.
Her professional networks across government and industry see her well placed to support our more than 495,000 small businesses again.
Ms Kelly said she was honoured to have the opportunity to work with Queensland’s small business community.
“From growing up in a small business and my experience working with small and high growth businesses, I know what a vital role they play in our communities and the economic impact they have for Queensland. I look forward to engaging with as many small business owners and staff as possible and advocating on your behalf.”
With current Commissioner Dominique Lamb finishing on 3 October, the search for the next Commissioner is already underway.
A recruitment process is open and applicants can apply at Smart Jobs.
